"Man of Steel" begins with the story about the background of the dying planet Krypton. The birthplace of Superman. There is a difference in opinion between Jor-El (Superman's father) with the elders Planet Crypton, a difference of managing natural resources (energy) in order to survive the destruction of Planet Crypton. Besides, Jor-El's wife also gave birth to a son naturally first in the air Krypton since centuries. Both parents of Superman, Jor El (Russell Crowe) and Lara Lor-Van (Ayelet Zurer) gave the name Kal-El to their baby.

Along with that there is also a coup by General Zod (Michael Shannon) who are dissatisfied with the leaders of Krypton. General Zod want to master the planet krypton and rescue. To save their son from the destruction of the planet Krypton and coup General Zod then Jor-El sent his new son to the planet that survived the destruction of the planet Krypton. The entire planet Krypton codek and descent also come shipped with their son.

Betrayal General Zod and his troops can eventually overpowered. General Zod and his army were arrested and sentenced to undergo 300 cycles of somatic reconditioning exiled to the Phantom Zone. Before serving his sentence, General Zod said and promised to mother of Superman that he will surely find their son and will reclaim what has been taken from them (Codex).

Son of Jor-El who named Kal-El later life as Clark Kent (Henry Cavill), the son of Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) and Martha Kent (Diane Lane) as a peasant family in Smallville, Kansas. Parents who find him the first time when the 'air capsule' that carries himself landed on Earth after going through space away from their home planet Krypton.

Kal-El is now named Clark Kent since childhood has realized the power on him. Often he received improper treatment by friends of his childhood, but he refrained from replying as on advise by his father. His father felt that the world is still not ready to accept who he was with his powers. Clark then uses his powers to help the people who need them. Of course, done secretly so that his secret remains a secret.

The story goes on Kal-El that adventure to find their own identity, who in fact he was, where he came from, to and with what purpose he was sent to this earth. Until finally took him to the pole and found the space ship relics of his ancestors when the days of expansion are looking for new sources of energy for the planet Krypton. In the boat anyway he finally knew who and where he came from those described directly by his biological father, although only in the form of a shadow and spirit.

When Clark found the ship relics of his ancestors from the planet Krypton that he accidentally activates a signal that makes General Zod can track his whereabouts, which then mobilized his troops to attack the planet Earth in order to regain Codex.

Superman finally appear in public after the presence of General Zod who have bad intentions that will make the Earth a new place to replace the Planet Krypton was destroyed. General Zod is free from prison along with the destruction of the planet Krypton.

Superman appears to fight General Zod and his army who also have the same super powers like him because they also come from the same planet where he came from. Enemies who are already searching for him.

At the beginning of this movie I still love and awe of advanced technology and leading-edge image shown when Superman's father put him in the machine that will take him across the galaxy and planet to Earth. But a little less comfortable at the end of the story when Lois Lane as if always there wherever when superman fight against General Zod. whereas fights very wide area but Lois lane that ordinary people can follow and are always close to the battle area. So she could hug Superman when feeling sad for having killed General Zod is the man who came from the same planet Crypton. Ridiculous in my opinion because as sad as though any superhuman self-control should be as soon as possible. Grieving may momentarily but as human beings with strong personal as well as role models and protectors of the earth should not let Louise lane held him. Maybe it could be made of other scenes, for example, to vent his grief then he flew to the his'house' and sad in there or tell of his'father'. I think it was more impressive as a superhuman to me.
